The project included a 10,000-square-foot renovation of the youth area, nursery, gathering area, meeting rooms and administrative offices, and a 3,900-square-foot chapel addition provides an alternate worship area for parishioners.

The project, which began in April 2016, will be revealed to the community on Saturday, April 29 at 2 p.m. The celebration will begin with a dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony and conclude with an open house featuring group tours.

“Our relationship with Hope Church goes back more than 80 years,” said Mike Novakoski, president and CEO of Elzinga & Volkers. “We are always honored to be part of community projects and this renovation was no different. Our team was able to preserve many of the historic features of the building while expanding the space, which allows the church to accommodate its growing community.”

The project also included Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility with ramps and a drop-off canopy. E&V has provided services for multiple projects at Hope Church throughout the years, including the church’s extensive structural and historical renovation that occurred in 2002.

“These renovations support the continuing mission of our pioneering church, and we were thrilled to be able to partner with E&V on another project,” said Lois Maassen, project manager for Hope Church.. “We are looking forward to unveiling the improvements to the community during our open house and thanking our members, donors, volunteers, and skilled tradespeople who all played a part in this beautiful transformation.”
