EV Construction to host fundraiser for restaurants, frontline workers

HOLLAND — A local construction firm is giving back to restaurants and frontline healthcare workers on Super Bowl Sunday.

EV Construction is re-introducing its annual Super Bowl Squares community event, offering restaurants that partner with the West Coast Chamber of Commerce or the Coldwater Chamber of Commerce a chance to pay homage to frontliners, including hospital staff and first responders.

Fifty restaurants in Holland and Zeeland have been assigned two squares each, while 25 restaurants in Coldwater have been assigned four squares each, on a game board that coincides with the Super Bowl.

EV Construction will purchase gift cards from 10 winning restaurants based on each quarter’s score and the final score. The company plans to purchase a total of $10,000 in gift cards, donating them to staff members at Holland Hospital and ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital, as well as first responders and other local healthcare providers.

“This year, we wanted to show appreciation for three groups that have been severely impacted throughout the pandemic: our community restaurants, emergency responders and our healthcare workers,” said EV Construction President and CEO Mike Novakoski.
