This month, we’re proud to share an incredible milestone: our team has surpassed 1,500 days without a lost time injury. That’s more than four years of keeping our team members safe on the job.
A “lost time injury” refers to any work-related injury or illness that prevents an employee from performing their regular duties or requires them to take time off work. Avoiding these incidents for such a significant period is no small feat in the construction industry, where complex project sites, heavy equipment, and ever-changing conditions can present daily hazards.
How We Got Here
Our achievement is the result of a company-wide commitment to safety. This includes:
- A Culture of Accountability – Safety is everyone’s responsibility. We empower every employee—whether they’ve been here for one week or 20 years—to speak up if they see something unsafe.
- Rigorous Training – From onboarding to ongoing education, every EV team member is trained to identify hazards, follow safety procedures, and use protective equipment correctly.
- Daily Safety Planning – Before work begins, teams meet to review tasks, identify risks, and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Proactive Safety Programs – Our Safety Committee regularly audits project sites, reviews near misses, and adapts procedures to continually improve.

This milestone is more than a number—it represents thousands of workdays where our people went home safe to their families.
