We’re incredibly proud to announce several well-deserved promotions and role changes that will strengthen our self-performed operations and continue to drive our success.

Matt Harburn Promoted to Director of Self-Performed Operations

Since joining EV in 2014, Matt Harburn has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership. He was instrumental in building our Painting and Drywall divisions from the ground up. In his new role as Director of Self-Performed Operations, Matt will serve as an invaluable resource for all Division Managers and Trades People within those divisions. We’re excited for him to broaden his influence and continue making a significant impact.


Brian White Shifts to Director of Field Management

Brian White is stepping into the role of Director of Field Management. This change will allow him to dedicate his focus to working closely with our Field Managers. This shift also provides him with more capacity to lead and grow our talented General Trades team. The strategic balancing of duties between Brian and Matt in the field, working in tandem with Layna O’Connor in the office, will undoubtedly set us up for continued growth and success across all our self-performed divisions.

With the recent changes, Layna O’Connor’s title will now be Director of Self-Performed Management. She will continue to be the backbone of our self-performed divisions, focusing on all office and administrative aspects. This includes everything from preconstruction and collaborating with Division Managers to ensure job success, all the way through punch-list and closeout. Layna is eager to work even more closely with Matt and Brian to provide comprehensive support to our field staff.


Jayme Brouwer Named Self-Performed Coordinator

To better align with her vital contributions to the self-performed team, Jayme Brouwer’s title has been updated to Self-Performed Coordinator. Jayme’s dedication is key to keeping our operations running smoothly.


Chase Weatherell Steps Up to Assistant Field Manager

Chase Weatherell has been promoted to Assistant Field Manager! Chase originally joined EV in 2021 and has gained valuable experience in General Trades and our Steel shop. Most recently, he has been an indispensable right-hand man to Brian Englishmen at Corewell Health Zeeland Hospital, taking the lead in many areas, including the Site-Specific Safety Committee.


Craig Mahlich Promoted to Interiors Foreman

We’re thrilled to announce that Craig Mahlich has been promoted to Interiors Foreman! Craig joined us last September with decades of experience and immediately made his mark. He successfully led the interiors portion of the Wolverine Worldwide project, which wrapped up in April. Craig has quickly become a respected teacher within our interiors division, sharing his knowledge and expertise.


Dave Donegan Joins the Rising Stars Group

We’re excited to announce that Dave Donegan has been added to our Rising Stars group! Dave joined the EV family just over a year ago on the Firestop team and has quickly become known on site for his fantastic attitude and unwavering team spirit. Despite being newer to the construction industry, Dave has become a true “student of the game,” actively taking advantage of internal learning opportunities and even pursuing a degree outside of work.

These exciting changes are all in the name of advancement and growth, strengthening our teams and positioning us for an even brighter future! Congratulations to everyone on their new roles and continued success!
