Celebrating Our Valued Trade Partners: A Huge turnout at the Annual Appreciation Breakfast!

Every year, we here at EV Construction look forward to hosting our Annual Trade Contractors Appreciation Breakfast. This year’s event, held on Friday, April 26th at our warehouse, was another resounding success!

With nearly 200 attendees, it was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the amazing trade partners who play such a crucial role in our projects. But this breakfast is about more than just eggs and bacon. It’s about expressing our sincere gratitude for the expertise, dedication, and collaboration trade contractors bring to every project we work on together.

A Change in Name, Not Appreciation

 What was once called the “Sub-Contractors Appreciation Breakfast” has evolved into the “Trade Contractors Appreciation Breakfast.” This change reflects a deliberate move by EV Construction back in 2015.

In a 2015 article, Mike Novakoski, EV Construction’s CEO, addressed the industry-standard term “subcontractor.” He stated, “This term doesn’t sit well with me. It implies these companies and people are ‘less than,’ when in fact they are equally important to the project’s success.”

We couldn’t agree more. Our trade contractor partners are an essential part of the EV Construction family, and we’re proud to recognize the vital role they play in building exceptional spaces.
