EV Construction is proud to announce our joint venture partnership with Dan Vos Construction Company to serve as the general contractor for The Averden, a transformative $215 million senior living campus being developed by Holland Home in Ada, Michigan. This project is a milestone in our commitment to creating spaces that elevate the quality of life for seniors and strengthen communities across West Michigan.
A Vision for Elevated Senior Living
The Averden will be located on an 18-acre wooded site along Fulton Street SE, just west of the Amway corporate headquarters. Designed to meet the growing demand for upscale retirement living, the campus will feature 136 residences across three distinct neighborhoods: 16 villas, 83 flat apartments, and 37 loft-style units. Additionally, 15 units will be reserved for assisted living, ensuring a full continuum of care.
Residents will enjoy a wide range of amenities designed for wellness, connection, and recreation, including a wellness and medical center, a restaurant and pub, a pool, indoor pickleball courts, group fitness areas, bocce ball courts, a theater, an art studio, and a golf simulator.
The Role of the Joint Venture
As joint venture partners, EV Construction and Dan Vos Construction will work side by side to bring Holland Home’s vision to life. This collaboration combines the expertise, resources, and shared values of two locally rooted construction companies. Together, we are committed to delivering a project that reflects the character of Ada while meeting the highest standards of quality and care.
This project also builds on EV’s long-standing relationship with Holland Home, including our recent renovation of the Breton Terrace campus, where we modernized gathering spaces, expanded dining options, and enhanced amenities for residents.

The Averden is not only a construction project—it’s a response to a community need identified in Ada Township’s master plan. Township leaders have emphasized the importance of providing senior living options that allow residents to remain in the community they love.
Construction is slated to begin in early 2027, with an anticipated two-year timeline for completion.
