Holland Firm Named A Top 101 Best and Brightest Company

HOLLAND, Mich., Jan. 25, 2023 — EV Construction, a leading provider of construction services in West Michigan, has once again been designated one of the Best and Brightest places in the nation to work, marking its fourteenth consecutive year on the regional list; EV Construction has also earned a spot on the Best and Brightest national list since its inception twelve years ago.

The National Association for Business Resources in December released its 2022 Top 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in the Nation; out of 4,500 nominated companies, EV Construction was among 510 recognized organizations, and was further honored by its placement on the list of 101 elite companies which demonstrate exceptional and innovative human resource practices and set high standards for all businesses. The winning companies were assessed by an independent research firm, which reviewed a number of key measures relative to other nationally recognized winners.

“We have long said that EV is ‘Built Around People,’ and receiving this honor fourteen years in a row is both proof of our efforts so far and a powerful motivator to keep pushing forward,” said Mike Novakoski, President and CEO of EV Construction. “We take great pride in being recognized on the Best and Brightest list, especially because we are the only West Michigan contractor on the list of 101 elite companies, and we will continue striving to set an example – both here in Michigan and on the national level – of exceptional support for employees and their families.”

“These companies excelled to the very top of the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For at a national level; in many ways they are years ahead of the business community as it relates to culture, engagement and human resource trends,” said Jennifer Kluge, President and CEO, Best and Brightest Programs.

Some of the innovative programs or initiatives available to EV Construction employees include: special training programs to assist with personal goals such as Financial Peace University for financial planning; a revamped onboarding process that increases knowledge retention; safety milestone celebrations; a corporate chaplain who assists with mental and emotional health; the implementation of a Venmo payment option that makes employee purchases more convenient while avoiding payroll deductions; an Employee Hall Pass offering an extra paid day off to spend school-related events with young family members; new-parent gift packs and more.
