An existing warehouse located at this site was demolished to make way for a new 18,900-SF station. The two-story building will have three apparatus bays, GRFD operations, a fitness room, and a training/community room on the main level. Living quarters on the second floor include dorm rooms, a day room, a kitchen, and officers’ quarters.

The new Division Fire Station will replace a station a couple of blocks away that’s nearly 100 years old, with tight spaces that make it difficult to put on gear and get trucks in and out. The new station will offer more square footage and bigger travel aisles. The goal is also for it to serve as a community space.
