EV Construction is proud to announce that Chief Operating Officer Joe Novakoski has been recognized as one of Crain’s Grand Rapids Business’ 2026 Notable Leaders in Architecture, Engineering and Construction.
This recognition honors professionals who are shaping the built environment across Michigan while providing leadership, vision, and mentorship within their organizations and communities.
Joe has been a part of EV Construction for more than 30 years and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2026. In his role, he helps guide company operations and supports more than 150 team members as EV Construction continues its legacy of building relationships and delivering exceptional projects in its 81st year.
Throughout his career, Joe has played a key role in growing EV’s healthcare construction expertise and led the successful delivery of the Pine Rest Pediatric Center project, one of the most significant healthcare projects in the region. He also takes great pride in fostering a strong culture of safety that helps protect and support EV employees every day.
Beyond his work at EV, Joe is committed to serving the community through leadership roles with Associated Builders and Contractors, the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Holland, and Michigan Technological University’s advisory board.
