WMCI Students Get Hands-On Experience At Pine Rest

Recently, our team at the Pine Rest Pediatric Center of Behavioral Health hosted students from the West Michigan Construction Institute at the job site for some real-life, hands-on experience on the job site.

Several West Michigan high school students who are currently in WMCI’s Carpentry class joined EV’s interiors team to install framing and hang drywall. These “externship” students came to the job site first thing in the morning for a week and spent a couple of hours working on the job.

At the end of the week, the EV team treated the students to a home-cooked breakfast to thank them for their hard work learning on the job.

We would like to thank the West Michigan Construction Institute and the students who participated in this externship program. We are proud to support the next generation of construction professionals.

Check out this video to get a glimpse of the students and our team in action!
