Three of West Michigan’s largest senior living communities are collectively planning nearly half a billion dollars in expansions, a sign of surging demand from an aging regional population.
The Averden retirement community by Holland Home will cater to a high-end clientele. Units will start at $750,000 for residents who sign onto Holland Home’s Lifecare Promise Program, which guarantees housing as they age and potentially need higher levels of care.
At Porter Hills Village, parent company Brio Living Services is investing up to $130 million to develop new facilities. The project will replace aging facilities for assisted living, memory support, and nursing care and add 55 to 60 independent-living apartments at the Porter Hills campus near Fulton Street SE and I-96.
EV Construction is proud to be the construction partner for The Averden and Porter Hills Village.
