EV Construction Powers Up Tulip Time Immersion Garden

Every spring, Holland, Michigan, transforms into a vibrant wonderland during Tulip Time, a nine-day festival celebrating the city’s Dutch heritage. This year, the popular Tulip Time Immersion Garden returns, promising a unique and unforgettable experience.

A Journey Through Tulips

World-renowned Dutch horticulturist Ibo Gülsen curates this week-long immersion experience. As you wander through the garden, you’ll embark on a historical journey of the tulip, from its origins in Turkey to its rise to fame in the Netherlands, and finally, to its celebrated presence in Holland, Michigan.

A Feast for the Senses

Gülsen utilizes a staggering 65,000 tulips in a dazzling display of colors and varieties. The tulips are strategically planted at eye-level, creating a truly immersive experience and fostering picture-perfect moments for you and your loved ones.

Bringing the Vision to Life

The detailed construction of the Immersion Garden is a collaborative effort. EV Construction plays a crucial role in assembling the intricate puzzle pieces that bring the garden to life. The team constructs the garden structure using truckloads of wooden pallets, which are then adorned with colorful and festive panels. This precise setup begins weeks before the official Tulip Time kick-off.

EV Construction works closely with Driesenga & Associates, Inc. to ensure the site layout perfectly aligns with Gülsen’s artistic vision. Once the platforms are complete, a truck arrives carrying the 65,000 tulips. EV’s team assists in unloading and preparing the flowers for volunteers, who meticulously arrange them according to Gülsen’s design under his guidance. This all culminates in a magical and whimsical experience for all visitors.
